Message templates let you save frequently-used message content so you can send it again quickly without retyping. Templates are useful for regular communications such as trip reminders, absence notifications, or newsletter-style updates.
Creating a Template
Navigate to Communications → Messages.
Click + New message, then select New message template from the options. Alternatively, go directly to Communications → Messages → New message template.

Enter a Template name. This is the internal name you use to find the template later — parents and carers do not see this.
Enter a message title and body. Use the formatting toolbar to add bold, italic, bullet lists, and links as needed.
Click Save. The template is saved and available to use when composing messages.
Templates are shared across all staff at your school. Any teacher can use a template you create.
Using a Template When Sending a Message
Open the message composer (+ New message).
Click the Load template icon (the document icon in the toolbar above the message body). A dialog opens showing your saved templates.
Select a template from the list. The message title and body are filled in automatically.
Edit the content if needed, then select your recipients and send as normal.
Managing Templates
To view, edit, or delete your saved templates, navigate to Communications → Messages and look for the Templates section or list. From here you can:
Edit an existing template to update the content.
Delete a template that is no longer needed.
Editing a template does not affect messages that were already sent using it — only future uses are affected.
