Parents and carers can access GroupEd through the Parent & Carer app to receive messages, view reports, make payments, and stay informed about school life. Before they can log in, they need to be invited by the school. This guide explains how to send those invitations.
Before You Start
Parent and carer contact details are imported from your school's MIS via Wonde. Before sending invitations, ensure that contact records are up to date in your MIS and that the Wonde sync has run. Parents and carers must have a valid email address recorded in order to receive an invitation.
Sending Invitations
Navigate to Insight → Students & Staff from the left-hand navigation menu.
Click the + Invite people button in the top-right corner.

The invitation screen opens. A pre-written invitation message is shown on the left. You can edit the message title and body text if needed.
On the right-hand panel, select your recipients:
Students tab — select individual students. The invitation will be sent to their registered parent/carer contacts.
Groups tab — select a whole class or registration group to invite all parents/carers at once.
Tick the checkbox next to each student or group you want to include. The Recipients counter at the bottom updates as you select.
Click Send. An invitation email will be sent to each parent and carer with a link to download the app and register their account.
What Happens Next
The parent or carer will receive an email invitation with a link to register. Once they have completed registration, they can download the Parent & Carer app and log in. You can track registration status using the Contact Registration Report.
Inviting All Parents at Once
To invite all parents and carers in one go, go to the Groups tab and select all available groups. This will include all students across the school and their linked contacts.
Re-sending an Invitation
If a parent or carer did not receive their invitation, or needs it re-sent, follow the same steps above and select the relevant student(s). A new invitation email will be sent.
